I hope you’ll accept my apologies for the lack of a proper newsletter this morning. We moved into our new rental house this week - and within hours of turning the water on, we had an improvised indoor swimming pool in what should have been our utility, an improvised outdoor pool on what should have been our lawn, and an actual outside pool that should have been a pool, but had instead sprung a leak. Oh, and in the midst of all that, it was also the small human’s birthday.
The result of all this chaos is that while we are now, blessedly, repaired - in the sense that what should be dry is dry and what should be wet is wet - we’re still not connected up to the Internet, we have no furniture and writing time has been totally and utterly kiboshed.
So. I’ll be sending the planned newsletter early this week, as soon as it’s possible to post from my laptop - and I’ll also probably be writing something new about how moving countries is a total and utter ballache.
But in the meantime, if you have any moving horror stories you’d care to share - happy endings included - I’d dearly love to hear them!
